  3. To Install
  4. ----------
  5. 1. Insert the disk into your CD-ROM drive.
  6. 2. Win3.1: In Windows Program Manager, pull down the File menu.
  7.    Win95: Click Start.
  8. 3. Click Run...
  9. 4. In the Run dialog box, type D:INSTALL and press Enter.
  10.    (Substitute the letter of your CD-ROM drive.)
  11. 5. Follow the directions on the screen.
  12. 6. At this point, you can explore the Sampler versions of
  13.    NavPress Software products. To unlock the full KJV Bible text,
  14.    or other products, you will need to call NavPress Software,
  15.    1(800) 888-9898.

  19. - The user manuals are in \NAVPRESS\MANUALS on the CD.
  20. - Paper copies may be purchased.

  22. Manual Update
  23. -------------
  24. Currently, cross-references and links to Apocryphal books are
  25. not working accurately. Also, the Ref list does not currently
  26. synchronize to the appropriate Apocryphal book in a commentary.

  28. Work Around:  You can find a specific note in an Apocryphal
  29. commentary by viewing its table of contents:
  30.      - Click on the commentary window
  31.      - Click on the Table of Contents icon on the tool bar.

  33. Appendix A -- Upgrading from WORDsearch 3.x
  34. ----------------------------------------
  35. If you are upgrading from WORDsearch 3.x to WORDsearch 4,
  36. YOU WILL NEED TO CALL IN FOR A NEW UNLOCK (NavPress Software
  37. 1(800) 888-9898). Your old authorization information cannot
  38. be read by WORDsearch 4. Ask for special upgrade pricing.

  40. You can install directly into your current \NavPress directory.
  41. All personal WORDsearch files (except layouts) will be 
  42. preserved and read by WORDsearch 4 (this includes personal
  43. commentaries, topics, outlines, and desktops). Desktop layouts 
  44. are not preserved but all data within the desktop is.

  46. Appendix B -- Unlock Authorization Files
  47. ----------------------------------------
  48. You should backup your unlock authorization files to floppy
  49. disk after completing the unlock procedure. This is done
  50. by running the installer and following the directions on the
  51. screen. This will allow you to restore your unlock information
  52. if necessary (hard disk crash, defragmenting, changing operating
  53. systems, etc.).

  55. Appendix C -- Backups and Data Loss
  56. -----------------------------------
  57. Please make frequent backups of your personal commentary, 
  58. personal outlines, and all other data that you create. 
  59. For a variety of reasons, any computer system can lose or 
  60. damage data. Navpress Software accepts no responsibility 
  61. for lost or damaged data.

  63. In WORDsearch, the best way to backup data is to "export,"
  64. using these menu sequences:
